From performing in the foyer of opera houses to large halls or intimate private concerts, he enjoys singing the famous Evergreens sung by all the tenors of the past; songs that made Caruso, Gigli, McCormack, and Mario Lanza famous. He also adds operatic arias to his repertoire and explains to the audience some insider information behind the scenes happenings in the world of opera and performing singers.

Michael retired from the opera stage when he sang his last opera performance in 2012 after more than 43 years. Michael now finds time to give Master Classes and singing lessons to aspiring singers all over the world. He says “I have retired from the Opera Stage, but by no means have I retired from Singing !”

Michael released a series of CDs on the NEXT music label including “I’ll Sing My Songs of Love” and “This is Why I Sing” which were released in 2015. Recently his first complete Afrikaans CD, “Ons eie Liefdeslied”, was released in December 2017.
