Salome Smith is an accomplished Jazz pianist. She is the founding member of Musica Delicato, a three piece band playing jazz, light pop and classical music.

Salome studied BMus (Performing Arts) at Unisa (incomplete) and has been involved with numerous bands in and around the Gauteng area, performing at fundraising events, soirees and charity functions. Her repertoire includes performing with Betty Lewis (opera soprano who studied under Mimi Coertze in Vienna), Greg Arthur, Frans Geldenhuis and Nicholas Marsicano. She attended the National School of the Arts (formerly known as Die Kruin, Parktown) where she was put under the tuition of the late Alan Weinberg as flautist in the Youth Orchestra and after Matric furthered her Piano studies under the watchful eye of Professor Johan Potgieter. She composes music and was one of the 10 finalists in the ATKV's Novice Songwriter Competition.
