Objective

To share my passion for singing and beautiful, meaningful music with the world.

Interests

Singing, playing piano, drawing and painting, going to the ballet, dancing, going for long walks, sewing, cooking and baking, making clay models, playing chess.

Awards

Won various gold certificates at the Johannesburg Eisteddfod during my school years and won a number of prizes at competitions all over Johannesburg.

Education

Took piano lessons from the age of 7 under the tuition of Olive (Liebertz) Theron who played in live concerts over the radio in her young days.

Took singing lessons from the age of 12 to 15 under the tuition of the well-known Anna Clive.
Did two years of opera training at the Technikon of Pretoria under the leadership of Emma Renzi.  Subjects taken were singing, Italian, German, drama, history of music, and dance.

Took singing lessons for approximately 5 years under the tuition of Dawn Brown.

Experience

At the age of three, sang at the year-end concert of the nursery school I attended.  My mother played the piano accompaniment.

Sang in student performances of operas as a student, e.g. Suzanna in the Marriage of Figaro.

Have been singing at weddings, old-age homes, home concerts, in hospitals at Christmas time, church services, funerals, birthdays and stage concerts my whole life.
