From the rugged fields of South Africa comes a cellist with bare feet who has learnt to create in the moment, playing his heart out in many languages. He travels the globe armed with electronic accompaniments that flavours his musical inspirations with the textures of anything from symphony orchestras to marimba bands to old running engines.
Lead on by a self-managed network of support, he has played and bewitched venues and spaces from the open streets to people’s living rooms right through to the Royal Albert Hall...
Called a musical wonder, he cannot tell you what will happen in the next performance - he might dance and shout and sing too - but be sure to be touched by what he calls the HA!, that strange but wondrous meeting point between order and chaos, between the dreamer and the one who sweats it out.
With his performances, workshops and collaborations, he is interested in no less than the refueling of the well of creativity, yours, and that of the rest of the world.
