Life has taken Annalie Herbst on the high and the low road before she finally had the courage to follow her dream; the result being the recording of LATE HARVEST (LAAT OES). She has always been fascinated by the similarities between wine making and classical singing. Both require a strong passion. Both winemakers and classical singers are craftsmen firstly and then artists. These qualities all serve as inspiration when the technical and repetitive aspects of the process become overwhelming. Harnessed together in the track listing are similar qualities of familiar wines and music to enjoy.
In the words of J. Michael Broadbent a British wine critic: "Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life's most civilized pleasures." And in the same breath let us not forget the music.
