Ms. Russouw played the piano, organ and piano accordion from a very young age. She obtained the B. Mus degree (cum laude) majoring in piano and organ. She obtained several diplomas and performer’s licentiates in piano and organ with distinction and continued to partially complete her M.Mus (Practical). She also obtained the Teachers Diploma in Higher Education (HED). Her piano mentors were Proff. Crowson (Cape Town), De Villiers (Potchefstroom) and Dr. Hallis (Witwatersrand).

Over the years she accompanied vocalists like Mimi Coertse and Manuel Escòrcio; also solo instrumentalists, instrumental ensembles, school and university choirs (Cape Town; Potchefstroom; Pretoria; Stellenbosch), student and school stage productions (the most recent being Annie also staged in the Playhouse in Durban under direction of Nick Jourdan), as well as local and overseas bursary applicants (vocal). She appeared in radio broadcasts (classical and light classical music) as accompanist and soloist and also have several transcription recordings (classical, light classical, jazz and sacred) to her credit. Ms. Russouw is not only an accomplished musician, but also a proficient composer of ballet and choral music. She regularly performs at public, private and corporate functions.

Her skill is displayed on her debut CD entitled Piano Passion (Light music) and also on ’n Keur uit Kersklanke (A selection from the production Christmas Sounds) with Petru Wessels and Carel Trichardt (narrations), Jaco Lötter (vocals and guitar) and Bambie Heiberg (violin).

Ms. Russouw is available to perform as soloist (light music), accompanist (variety of music and instruments), session musician (variety of music) and répétiteur.
