SA Soprano sings her way to the UK
Leading South African soprano Michelle Veenemans will be taking her place among international musicians and royalty following an invitation to perform at the 100th Rotary International Convention in the United Kingdom next year. The convention, which will be held in Birmingham from 21 to 24 June 2009, is set to feature the cream of Britain’s musical crop as thousands of Rotarians from around the world gather to commemorate the organisation’s centenary, celebrate fellowship and humanitarian service, and discuss charitable projects. Following the convention, Ms Veenemans will perform at a private concert for a distinguished royal family that is presently residing in the UK. Further details will be disclosed at a later date.
