The production KIRI tells the story of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, one of the world’s most loved sopranos. The story, in the form of an interview is taking place in the diva’s dressing room before she has to go on stage. During the interview the best loved arias and songs that were over time sung by Ms. Te Kanawa are performed, amongst them O mio babbino caro and Porgi amor. KIRI features soprano Annalie Herbst, an exciting new soprano from Durbanville in the Cape Province, who has lately been making her mark in the industry.
