Have you ever wondered what made Fauré’s music à la mode, or why Vivaldi’s vibrant and vivacious compositions very often put a spring in your step, even in the middle of a gloomy winter?

To find out, we invite you to join the Johannesburg Bach Choir for the Winter Concert Series.

Our next heart-warming concerts will take place at 15:00 on the 5th and the 12th of August respectively.

The first Concert will be presented in the beautiful and tranquil setting of the St. Martins-in-the-Veld Anglican Church, situated at 43 Cradock Avenue, Dunkeld.

The more modern and spacious setting of the German Lutheran Thomaskirche at 187 Bryanston Avenue, in Bryanston is the venue for the second concert.

Both concerts will put on the “Magnificat” by Antonio Vivaldi and Fauré’s “Requiem”.

The vastly and recently expanded Johannesburg Bach Choir will be joined by two outstanding soloists, Hendré van Zyl and Esti Meerkotter.

As usual, the very talented Ruth Coggin will be accompanying us on the organ and our maestro, Tim Roberts will keep it all together.

In order to obtain your tickets, you can log onto Quicket, https://www.quicket.co.za/for quick & fuss-free booking; alternatively, you can book through choir member Margaret Zappala on 076 022 7918.

Tickets for both events will also be available at the door.

Please note that both venues have free, guarded parking.

We look forward to your attendance at one (or even both) events.
